Give via Appreciated Assets
Gifts of appreciated assets can be used to maximize your giving and avoid capital gains tax. Many supporters find this to be one of the most advantageous means to support our college. By transferring ownership of an appreciated assett instead of selling the assett and then making a cash gift, a donor avoids capital gains tax while receiving a full fair market value deduction against their earned income. Several of our supporters have elected to utilize this convenient method of giving to consistently provide support for the college. To easily setup, please download the SEBC EFT authorization form and specify your gift amount and designation accordingly. For SEBC, a regular payroll deduction pledge makes an impact especially when it is increased by the employer’s matching funds. Since employers often match employee contributions, workplace giving provides you with the opportunity to directly influence their company’s philanthropic endeavors.
Ways to Specify your Financial Support:
President’s Council Fund
Committed members of our community whom have commit themselves committed themselves to support, advance, and encourage the mission SEBC. Council members serve as the college’s chief ambassadors in their community through furnishing advice and counsel on matters of strategic importance, contributing financial support and assisting in student recruitment and job placement.
The purpose of our annual fund is to reduce or eliminate the indebtedness many students typically incur while pursuing higher education, thus allowing graduates to enter the full-time vocation ministry, join the mission field and/or pursue graduate school immediately upon graduation. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering students on the basis of academic achievement and/or financial need as designated by an annual scholarship agreement.
