SEBC Alum Evans granted Doctoral Fellowship

Alyssa Lehr Evans was granted the Louisville Institute Doctoral Fellowship for 2013-2015. This Fellowship is a two-year award focused on first and second year Ph.D. students who are considering theological education as their vocation. The program is designed to support the formation of ecclesially engaged academics. Ten students are selected for this opportunity, and the cohort will meet in Louisville three times during each fellowship year. The Louisville Institute is a Lilly-Endowment-funded program based at Louisville Seminary.

Using the funds from this award, Alyssa was able to spend the month of July in Göttingen, Germany, and take a course at the Goethe Institute. In addition to connecting with Reformation scholars at Göttingen University, she was privileged to travel to Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
