 Job Purpose

The Admissions Counselor will work in accordance with the enrollment management plan under the leadership of the Associate Director of Admissions in recruiting new students.

 Key Responsibilities

Build Relationships:

  • Communicate with prospective students via visits, mail, email or phone for the purpose of encouraging them to consider attending SEBC.
  • Schedule and conduct campus tours with prospective students and their families.
  • Counsel with prospective students concerning their progress in the enrollment process.
  • Contact prospective students with completed applications with the decision of the Admissions Committee regarding their admission into SEBC.
  • Regularly communicate with accepted students to ensure their enrollment.
  • Once enrolled, continue a relationship with new student to help them transition into SEBC.

Recruit Students

  • Keep updated on all admission policies and procedures.
  • Enter new prospects into GradPro in a timely manner.
  • Make inquiry and qualifying calls when needed.
  • Update prospect, applicant and student information in GradPro as new information becomes available.
  • Call applicants when each piece of their application arrives.
  • Coordinate all accepted applicants’ information with the registrar, financial aid department and student life.


  • Schedule and attend meetings with local guidance counselors in Christian and public schools.
  • Schedule and attend meetings with local youth pastors.
  • Create new prospects by communicating with various Para church organizations.


  • Attend designated College Fairs conducted on weekdays or weekends.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all College Fairs to obtain prospects.
  • Use free time while traveling to network with local alumni, youth pastors, guidance counselors, etc.
  • Represent SEBC at key functions.

Administrative Tasks

  • Efficiently perform all administrative duties.
  • Accurately maintain all expense reports.
  • Attend Admissions Department Staff meetings.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Preview Days.
  • Return all phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
  • Keep all applicant files up-to-date.
  • Regularly call all applicants and accepts.

  • Primary duties will involve the discipleship of girls at AVPC
  • Must be teachable and exhibit deep love for God, for students and for unbelievers.
  • This is a paid part-time position for approx. 18 hours each week. Annual salary range $9,000-$10,000.
  • Church membership at AVPC will be required.

  3. Provide curriculum input each quarter
    TEAM LAB – Sunday Nights (primary program to EQUIP students)

  1. Lead a Team Lab team
  2. Help coordinate the work of teams throughout the week

  1. Play a major role in two week-long summer events (currently a Jr. High Camp and Sr. High Mission Trip)
  2. Attend events as scheduled
  3. Assist in planning events
  4. Help provide creativity and vision to youth events

  • Visit students’ homes, games, and schools as much as possible, particularly girls
  • Be active in the youth ministry team meetings and mission
  • Assist with calendar and communication of youth group
  • Meet regularly with youth pastor

Grace Bible Church, a vibrant and growing non-denominational church, serving the communities of Gadsden and Rainbow City, AL, is seeking a spiritually mature, musically gifted, and ministry-minded individual to lead our church body in Christ-centered worship. 

Grace is a loving, evangelical church, with a strong emphasis on making disciples, through biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, fellowship and prayer (Acts 2:42-47).  We are a growing church family (125+ attenders), with a healthy mixture of young families and older saints.

We are seeking someone who has a passion for leading others in worship, is capable of working with a team of musicians, and is sensitive to building bridges between the generations as we worship together. It is important that this individual be teachable and a team player, as we all continue to grow in our understanding of true, biblical worship (John 4:24).

This position could be designed as a part-time position (15-20 hrs. per week), or as an internship, (15-20 hrs. per week) with regular mentoring from the Senior Pastor.
