“My teaching philosophy is based on a discipleship model.  I want to instill in every student knowledge of the Scriptures along with demonstrating to them how such knowledge must be contextualized in our daily lives as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Education should involve the entire person, and as a professor, I enjoy developing students to be effective followers of Christ who are equipped to advance the gospel and serve the local church.” -Matt Aernie, May 2008

Matt served as an adjunct professor for three years at Colorado Christian University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (Rocky Mountain Campus) before joining the faculty at Southeastern Bible College in 2008.

Matt is an avid Chicago Cubs and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan.  In his free time he enjoys reading and playing sports. He and his wife, Bonnie, live in Leeds.
