He married his high school sweetheart, Chrissy, and promptly moved to Massachusetts where he studied in seminary and volunteered at an immigrant church in Boston. After seminary, he became a youth and college age pastor in Toledo, Ohio, and taught adjunct at the University of Toledo. He then attended Baylor University to study philosophy. His primary interests are in history of philosophy and ethics, with a particular love for Plato and Nietzsche.
Travis and Chrissy have two children: Trinity (born 2004) and Nathan (born 2008). He and his family enjoy hiking and camping, and watching movies while eating a lot of pizza and homemade cookies. Travis also enjoys distance running, playing guitar, reading, and good coffee.
