The Department of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the launching of a new academic major at Southeastern Bible College in the Fall of 2012.
The Arts and Sciences Program is intended for men and women who desire to deepen their ability to engage in informed Christian reflection about God’s creation and human life within it. Graduates of the program will now receive a double major, one in Bible and Theology and the other in Christian Thought and History. The first major provides students with a biblical point of reference for cultural engagement. The second major enhances critical thinking skills and furnishes knowledge of the philosophical and historical contexts that shape the world we inhabit; the world within which we seek to love God and incarnate the Christian faith. The Christian Thought and History major requires thirty-three hours of course work divided between philosophy, apologetics, and the history of Christianity.
